Ulrich says Metallica’s working on new stuff

Metallica is reportedly working on new music.
Drummer Lars Ulrich hinted at the possibility back in April, if the COVID-19 pandemic continued on for “six moths or year.”
Metalsucks.net now reports Ulrich says the guys have, in fact, been working on new tunes – though, remotely.
Would it be difficult to collaborate remotely? Might the new stuff have different feel?
