Songwriter Paul Vance Dies

The man who made the ‘itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini’ famous, is no longer with us.
Paul Vance, the songwriter behind the tune “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” and hundreds of other songs, died last week at the age of 92.
A cause of death was not released.
His daughter Paula confirmed Vance’s death in a post on her Facebook page, writing that her father died while they listened to “Playground in My Mind,” which features his son Philip on vocals.
