Dio’s ‘Holy Diver’ Gets Official Graphic Novel

Z2 comics has teamed up with the estate of metal legend Ronnie James Dio to reveal the events leading up to the iconic moment captured on the cover of Dio’s debut album, Holy Diver.

30 Days of Night horror writer Steve Niles ends 30 years worth of speculation in the 120-page Holy Diver graphic novel. Fans will finally learn why the priest on the album’s cover is getting thrown into the ocean.

Dio’s widow, Wendy said “I know Ronnie would have given his stamp of approval on this great graphic novel.”

The graphic novel, also filled with some wicked art inspired by Holy Diver, is set for a 2021 release.
