Mick Jagger Thought Newly-Released Tracks Were “Terrible”

Mick Jagger says he thought the bonus tracks included with the Rolling Stones’ new Goats Head Soup reissue were “terrible” – at least at first.

The Stones frontman thought the tracks were unfinished and “useless” – until he realized they could go back and finish them.

Now, Jagger says, the new songs – “Criss Cross”, “All the Rage”, and “Scarlet” – are “all up there with the rest of the songs on this record”.
The Goats Head Soup reissue will be out Friday.

How do you think the new songs hold up against the rest of the album? What’s your favorite ‘era’ of the Stones?
