ZZ Top’s 50th anniversary tour isn’t getting off to a good start, with the first four dates cancelled due to illness.

The bearded rockers announced that drummer Frank Beard is suffering from pneumonia and will need time to recover.

“He apparently came down with the ailment while on the band’s just completed tour of Europe and, upon his return home, was advised by his physician to rest and recuperate,” according to a release from their management.

Ticketholders can apply for full refunds, while the tour will now begin on August 21st in Woodinville, Washington state.
