Singer Philip Anselmo said a few weeks back that he’s “open for anything” regarding the idea of a Pantera reunion, adding that he still speaks to bassist Rex Brown.

But who could fill the role of the late-Dimebag Darrell? Perhaps Zakk Wylde.

Ozzy Osbourne’s longtime guitarist has his name come up frequently in regards to bringing the band’s music back to the stage, which he says he’d be on board.

But for Wylde, playing with Pantera would be “more of a tribute and a celebration” than him stepping in to “replace” Darrell, much in the same way he performs Randy Rhoads’ music with Ozzy.

Which guitarist would make sense in a hypothetical Pantera show?
