Woman Scares Off Cougar With Metallica

Rock music saves lives. Earlier this week, a woman talked someone out of jumping off an overpass by reciting Linkin Park lyrics. And now a woman in Canada fended off a wild cougar by playing Metallica.
Dee Gallant encountered the large cat while walking her dog. When it started to approach, Gallant tried waving her arms and shouting.
But then she got an even better idea. Whipping out her phone, Gallant played what she figured was “the noisiest thing” on her playlist: “Don’t Tread on Me”.
Turns out it worked well and the cougar ran off. Gallant told Kelowna Now, “I would love to contact them someday and tell James Hetfield that he saved my life.”
Have you encountered wildlife while out and about? What did you do?
