Woman Photographs Her Parents Waving Goodbye Over 27 Years

Precious memories!

Deanna is a photographer who understands how precious pictures of loved ones can be. And she had a touching way to remember her parents, Jerry and Pat Dikeman. You’ve probably seen some parents do this with school pictures and it’s just as precious. She took photos of her mom and dad, standing side by side outside their home waving goodbye after she visited them. And she’s been doing it for 27 years!

Her mom struggled with continuing after dad passed away at 91, but she did. And then mom died at 92 and the last picture in the series is the garage door, with no one waving back.  That last one was tough for Deanna, but wrapped up an incredibly meaningful project.
