Whitesnake Completes Trilogy with ‘Blues Album’

Whitesnake has announced the upcoming release of an album featuring a compilation of their blues songs.

The album — called, appropriately, “The Blues Album” — is the third release in the band’s Red, White and Blues trilogy. The first entry, “The Rock Album,” represented white and last year’s “Love Songs” represented red.

“Blues to me is a beautiful word that describes emotional expression — feelings of sadness, loneliness, emptiness,” says vocalist David Coverdale. “But also those that express great joy, celebration and dance, sexiness and love.” The album is due February 19th.

Does Whitesnake have the same fan base they had in the ’80s and ’90s?
