A Research team at Tel Aviv University used ultrasonic microphones to capture sound emitted by plants. Thing is there’s talking in higher frequencies than we can hear.

The sound has been described as being close to that of  popping popcorn and as loud as that guy in the next cubicle Their “speech” is also unique according to species and size of plant.
