Wendy’s is aiming for a more futuristic reality with its new restaurant design.

The chain has shared a new global restaurant design standard called, “Global Next Gen.”

The new design shoots to “enhance the digital-forward customer experience” and deliver greater convenience, speed, and accuracy.

Beginning this fall, Wendy’s new restaurant builds will feature a “sleek and modern design” with a streamlined layout and updated “next-generation technology.”

There will be a dedicated delivery pick-up window, mobile order parking and pick-up shelving in-restaurant, and a new galley-style kitchen design.

Wendy’s is set to open its first Global Next Gen restaurant in New Albany, Ohio in the spring of 2023.

Does Wendy’s need to be more futuristic or should they just focus on the food?
