U2 shared an acoustic version of “Sunday Bloody Sunday” for the 50th anniversary of the event that inspired the song.

26 people were shot and 14 killed on January 30, 1972, as British soldiers opened fire on a protest in Northern Ireland.

Called the “Bloody Sunday” massacre, the event would go on to inspire U2 to write their song almost a decade later for their album ‘War.’
