Twitter wants users to ACTUALLY READ the articles they’re retweeting before they spread a new message out into their world.
Twitter has begun testing a new feature that will prompt users to think before they retweet an article. The feature is currently being tested on Android users.

Sharing an article can spark conversation, so you may want to read it before you Tweet it.
To help promote informed discussion, we’re testing a new prompt on Android –– when you Retweet an article that you haven’t opened on Twitter, we may ask if you’d like to open it first.

If a user decides to retweet an article before they actually read it, Twitter may prompt them to open it first. Twitter Support tweeted, sharing an article can spark conversation so you may want to read it before you Tweet it.
