Over the past few years, Trent Reznor, along with Atticus Ross, has been busy writing music for films and TV shows. However, he reveals that he isn’t a fan of one of his projects.

Interviewed by Revolver for the latest issue, the Nine Inch Nails frontman felt those working on Netflix’s Bird Box seemed to be “phoning it in” after he delivered the score to the filmmakers.

“And the final icing on the s**t cake was we were on tour when they mixed it. And they mixed the music so low, you couldn’t hear it anyway. So it was like, that was a… That was a f***ing waste of time,” admitted Reznor.

Reznor is turning his focus back to the band, noting that he plans a new full-length record and NIN tour in 2020.

Which of Reznor’s scores have you enjoyed? Did you notice the same things as he with Bird Box?
