“The Wire” Star Says Rolling Stones Owe Him Royalties

Before he was an actor, Clarke Peters from “The Wire” was a background singer.
Peters even did backing vocals for The Rolling Stones, who he claims owe him royalties.
“The one I did for the Stones…I cannot remember what it was. I got maybe 35 or 40 quid for it and I was away,” Peters told The Mirror.
“Then 30 years later, they say, “you know what? If you can figure out what songs you were on, you can get the residuals,'” he continued.
