Soundgarden Members Respond To Vicky Cornell Lawsuit, Promise To Complete ‘Final Soundgarden Album’

The remaining members of Soundgarden have officially responded to the latest lawsuit from Vicky Cornell, Chris Cornell’s widow.

Cornell is suing the band, claiming they ‘lowballed’ her with a buyout offer of $300,000 for her share of the band’s songwriting catalog – a fraction of the millions of dollars her share is worth.

In a statement, the band said the buyout offer was “grossly mischaracterized” by Cornell and that “clarity will come out in court.” They also said “We look forward to completing the final Soundgarden album”.

The band is also embroiled in a separate legal battle with Vicky over demo recordings Chris Cornell left behind after his death in 2017.

Do you think this legal battle will be settled anytime soon? Which side do you support?
