Smash Mouth just released a new cover song with their new lead singer, Zach Goode.

Goode was recruited from an L.A.-based Weezer tribute band called ‘Geezer’.  He takes over for Steve Hartwell, who left the band last year due to health issues.

The band officially introduced Goode on Tuesday, releasing a cover of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”.

What does it say about Smash Mouth that their new singer was part of a tribute act to a different 90’s band?
