While it isn’t the first time a remastered version of GoldenEye 007 has been rumored to be in production, it is the first time the gaming community has had evidence to support the gossip.

GameRant reveals Danjag LLC has renewed the trademark for GoldenEye, leading to new rumors that claim the classic N64 game will soon be returning for modern consoles.

VentureBeat‘s Jeff Grubb even goes as far as to say the remastered version is already in the can, but its release has been delayed because of the game’s Russian themes.

The original GoldenEye 007 dropped in 1997 for Nintendo 64.

Would it be better for someone to develop a whole new James Bond game?
