Robert Plant Reveals which Led Zeppelin Song he finds ‘Horrific’

To diehard fans, Led Zeppelin could do no wrong. But there’s one song the legendary band recorded that still makes frontman Robert Plant cringe whenever he hears it.

Plant says he’s unhappy with his performance on Zeppelin’s cover of “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You,” saying he attempted to add a more “manly” sound to his voice when recording the tune. However, he says his performance ended up sounding “too forced.” Plant adds, “I find my vocals on there horrific now. I really should have shut the f*** up!”

The track, which appeared on Zeppelin’s debut album, was originally recorded by Joan Baez.

Do you agree with Plant? What Led Zeppelin song features Plant’s best performance?
