Riki Rachtman Dispels A Popluar Myth About The ‘November Rain’ Video

“November Rain” remains one of the greatest music videos of all time.  But for decades, a mystery has remained – who is the infamous ‘cake jumper’?

You know who we’re talking about – the guy who wipes out into the wedding cake while Axl Rose and Stephanie Seymour are getting married.

For years, it was believed the ‘cake jumper’ was none other than Riki Rachtman, former host of MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball.  But this week, Rachtman denied the rumor, tweeting “I eat cake I don’t dive through it.”

So who’s the real cake jumper?  It remains a mystery, at least for now – director Andy Morahan told Vice it was ‘an extra’, but didn’t recall his name.
