Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner is crediting his surgeons for saving his life.

In a new interview, the rocker talked about the 2021 acute cardiac aortic dissection he suffered during a performance at the Louder Than Life festival.

It took the hospital’s cardiothoracic surgery team approximately 10 hours to complete the surgery, and Faulkner explained, “I shouldn’t be here. I honestly shouldn’t be here. “The more I read about it, the more astonishing it is to me to think that I even made it to the hospital.”
