If feeling weighed down by all your stuff has gotten you on the Marie Kondo train, here’s what one professional organizer says you should toss out.

Start in the kitchen and rid yourself of old refrigerator magnets, broken and cheap utensils, plus anything expired. You don’t need to save every rubber band or sandwich bag tie either.

Get the bin and dump those free promotional items we all seem to amass. Better yet, donate them along with storage solutions that don’t work for you.

Clear your shelves of outdated tech, awards and trophies, that old set of encyclopedias, and anything else collecting dust. Junk mail, random papers, and things you keep meaning to fix should get recycled as well.

What items have you recently tossed out? What kicked off the cleaning?
