While there are no current plans for Poison to drop new music before embarking on their tour with Motley Crue and Def Lappard, frontman Bret Michaels say he hopes to change that — by releasing a new track with an old feel.

“I’d just like to do an incredible, just kick-ass — and when I say this, I mean a new version, but that feel of ‘Nothin’ But A Good Time’ and ‘Talk Dirty To Me,'” he says. “Just a great rock song, just something that is a lot of fun to write, but with a big-hook chorus. Just to write a song like that would be incredible — even if it’s just one to start it — and go in there and have a great time doing it.”

Poison last released new music way back in 2002 when the album “Hollyweird” stopped. Although the album “Poison’d” followed in 2007, it featured all covers. “The Stadium Tour” gets underway June 18th in Jacksonville, Florida.

Would you be into hearing new Poison music? What was the most horrendous comeback attempt in rock history?
