Pete Townshend To Who Concertgoer: ‘We Don’t Do F—ing Requests’

Just so you know — The Who don’t take requests during their concerts.

Singer/guitarist Pete Townshend made that point during the band’s recent show in Tampa Bay.

After stopping mid-set for some technical issues, the guys seemed confused as to what song they should restart with.

A fan yelled: “Naked Eye”

Townshend shot back: “Just shut up. Just shut the f–k up with Naked f–ing Eye, alright? We don’t do f–king requests.”

Townshend then turned to bandmate Roger Daltrey to ask what he wanted to play. He jokingly responded: “Naked Eye.”

Sure enough, the band then kicked into “Naked Eye” as they went on with the show.

Have you been to a concert where a singer or musician was rude to a fan? Does a band “owe” fans the greatest hits or whatever song they request?
