Vinyl records were huge this Christmas, posting record sales numbers in the week leading up to the holiday. And the biggest reason was a certain ex-Beatle.

Paul McCartney’s new solo album McCartney III was the biggest seller among all vinyl releases last week with 32,000 units – the most for any vinyl release in decades.

Overall, more than 1.8 million records were sold during Christmas week – outselling CDs by nearly 200,000.

Do you still collect vinyl records? Get any good ones for Christmas?
