Late Marvel Comics guru Stan Lee is being honored in New York, where the city council has voted to name a Bronx street after him.

The bill, which calls for University Avenue between Brandt Place and West 176th to be renamed “Stan Lee Way,” still needs Mayor Bill de Blasio’s stamp of approval before it can move forward. Lee, who died in November, lived on University as a youth and attended high school in the Bronx.

Lee, who was 95 when he passed away, had been working in comics since 1939. During his career he created or co-created such characters as Spider-Man, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Dr. Strange and Black Panther.

Do you think Lee is worthy of having a street named after him? Can you think of a better way for New York to honor Lee?
