New Hendrix Documentary and Live Album Announced

A new Jimi Hendrix documentary and live album are coming this Fall. Music, Money and Madness…Jimi Hendrix in Maui will center around the guitarist’s involvement in the critically-panned film Rainbow Bridge.

Jimi Hendrix was already a superstar when his manager thought it would be a great idea to put the guitarist in a movie about “hippie enlightenment”. But without real actors or a script, Ultimate Classic Rock says Rainbow Bridge was a train wreck.

While one critic called the movie “undoubtedly the dumbest hippie movie ever made, there is seventeen awesome minutes in Rainbow Bridge that features Hendrix performing in front of a dormant volcano.

Jimi Hendrix in Maui’s documentary and live album are set for a November 20th release.
