Move Over Boomers – Millennials Now The Biggest Buyers Of Pickup Trucks

Think Millennials aren’t interested in owning a truck?  Think again.

The millennial generation has taken over as the largest buyer of new pickup trucks, passing both Baby Boomers and Gen Xers over the last two years.

What brought on the shift?  Part of it is simply growing up.  Millennials – defined as anyone born between 1977 and 1994 – are getting older, earning more money, and settling down in the suburbs.

But another factor might be the rise of electric trucks – Millennials are also the top buyer of electric and hybrid vehicles.
