2020 is a big year for Mick Mars. Not only is he reuniting with Motley Crue for the biggest tour of the summer, he’s also set to release his first solo album.

Jacob Bunton, who sings lead vocals on the project, says he and Mars are “almost done” with the album, which was recorded in Nashville with former Crue producer Michael Wagener.

Mars said last year his solo material is heavier than Motley Crue, and Bunton described Mars’ guitar tone as “louder than a jet engine”. The album is expected to be released sometime this summer.

What other rock guitarists should make a solo album?
