With their home state burning once again due to wildfires, Metallica has stepped up with a major donation towards relief efforts.

“Sadly, for the third year in a row, communities we have called home throughout the state of California are again experiencing the tragedy left in the wake of wildfires,” the band said in a statement.

Through their All Within My Hands non-profit foundation, Metallica has offered $200,000, which will be spread out among charities who aid those affected.

In addition to their own giving, the metal rockers are also encouraging fans to contribute in any way they can, noting, “every bit helps.”

What can be done to prevent these wildfires from breaking out next year?
