Life-Saving Wrong Turn Caught On Camera

Brendon Birt took a wrong turn in Iowa last Sunday when he spotted a raging inferno inside a family’s home. “I just felt like somebody was in there because it was so late at night, you know?” “I just knew that I had to act quick.”

So he began banging on the windows and yelling, “Fire!” as Ring doorbell video captured the whole thing.  Soon after, three siblings — ages 8, 14 and 17 — ran out the front door as flames swirled on the front porch. Their 22-year-old brother ran through the front door moments later. The siblings said the pounding and screaming woke them as the smoke alarms did NOT go off.

The kids’ parents were out of town when they got the frightening call that their home had caught fire with their kids inside! The home was completely destroyed but the kids are all safe thanks to Brendon! The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
