Liam Gallagher Named His Son After Gene Simmons (So Says Gene Simmons)

Kiss icon Gene Simmons says former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher named his son Gene — after him.

Simmons told Metal Hammer that he met Gallagher checking into a Pittsburgh hotel a while back.

Simmons said he told Gallagher he loved Wonderwall to which Gallagher responded, “We love you too – I named one of my children after you.”

Problem is, Gallagher has previously said Gene Jr. was named after jazz drummer Gene Krupa. Hmmmm.

Also, Simmons famously roasted Oasis on the Dennis Miller Option podcast saying the “masses” had no clue about Oasis as a band.

That statement prompted Gallagher to reply “F*ck him the tart” in a tweet.
