Lars Ulrich: Best Metallica Record ‘Still Ahead Of Us’

Think Metallica’s best days are behind them? Lars Ulrich disagrees.
In an interview with Classic Rock magazine, the drummer insisted the band’s new album will be their best yet, calling it “the heaviest thing, the coolest”.
Ulrich said “all kidding aside, if it wasn’t because we thought that the best record was still ahead of us, then why keep doing it?”
What are your expectations for the next Metallica album? Is there any way it can hold up to their classic earlier albums?
