Kids And Cars: Today’s Teens In No Rush To Start Driving

It used to be that turning 16 was the best day ever for a teenager because that meant a driver’s license, which meant freedom.

Apparently, times have changed. According to the Federal Highway Administration, the percentage of teenagers getting their licenses is down, especially among Gen Z’s.

There are several reasons why teens are foregoing the plastic card, which include safety, not interested in a car, and would rather use environmentally friendly public transportation.
