Kid Rock, Bryan Adams, REO Deliver Onstage Tributes to Eddie Money
Kid Rock, Bryan Adams and REO Speedwagon were among the acts that paid tribute to the late Eddie Money during various shows over the weekend.
Only hours after news of Money’s death broke, Rock performed a cover of “Shakin'” during a show in Clarkston, Michigan. “I’m sure you’ve heard that Eddie Money passed away today,” Rock said before performing the hit. “We wanted to come sing one tonight, pay tribute to him. So rock on, Eddie.”
Meanwhile, Adams was onstage in Indio, California, where he unveiled an acoustic version of Money’s first hit, “Baby Hold On.” And REO singer Kevin Cronin told a Del Mar, California crowd that Money was a “funny mother f***er” before his band launched into “Two Tickets to Paradise.”
Money died Friday after a battle with esophageal cancer.
