Joni Mitchell Reveals New Live Album On Elton John’s Apple Music Show

Joni Mitchell is 79 and living her best life after getting tons of attention for her July performance at the Newport Folk Festival. She’s now planning two headlining shows and just spilled the tea she’s planning a new live album.  That’s what she told Elton John on his Apple Music show Rocket Hour. The album will be based on that live Newport Folk Festival performance.

Mitchell’s surprise performance was the first time in over 20 years that she performed a full set live for an audience, bringing back classics like “A Case of You,” “Both Sides Now” and “Big Yellow Taxi.”
