Jimi Hendrix Estate Goes to Court Over Royalty Claim
The estate of Jimi Hendrix is going to court against the inheritors of former Experience members.
The claim from the families of the former members says that there were unpaid royalties for members Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell.
According to lawyers for the families of Mitchell and Redding, the musicians “died in relative poverty having never received their true entitlement from their works, performances and founding membership of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.”
The lawyer for Hendrix’s estate, however, claims that both musicians were paid for signing agreements to not sue the estate and to skip the legal process.
