Jeff Lynne Has 2,000 Cassette Tapes Of Unreleased ELO Music

ELO mastermind Jeff Lynne says he’s sitting on a treasure trove of unreleased ELO music. There’s just one problem – he can’t listen to any of it because it’s on cassette tape.

Lynne told the Daily Star he has “about 2,000 cassettes” of material that he hasn’t listened to in over 20 years – mostly because he doesn’t have a tape player.

Lynne, who ‘reactivated’ ELO in 2014, said “”I would love to check some of those really old ones out because there might be something I really love there now.” So if anyone’s got a spare Walkman lying around, send it to Jeff!
