Jason Bonham Says Taylor Hawkins’ Death Brought Back Memories Of His Father

Jason Bonham says the death of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins brought back memories of his own father – legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham.
In a radio interview, Bonham said hearing about Hawkins “opened a floodgate of memory for the day that I found out *my* father passed”.
John Bonham died in 1980 at the age of 32.
Jason is currently on tour with Sammy Hagar & The Circle, and had to go on stage “10 minutes after” hearing about Hawkins. He called it “one of the hardest shows I’ve ever had to play”.
