Iron Maiden Mascot Eddie Turned Into BBQ Fire Pit

Since he was introduced on the cover of the band’s 1980 debut, Iron Maiden mascot Eddie has adorned coffee mugs, pinball machines, video games, T-shirts and hats, to name a few.

But now the mummy-like creature is heating things up by becoming the model for a new barbecue fire pit.

Created by the U.K. company BurnedbyDesign, the steel wood burner and grill is shaped like Eddie’s head, which is chomping down on a metal chain.

The company’s product description reads, “Inspired by Iron Maiden’s Powerslave Eddie mummy, this dual purpose wood burner and grill will add a spark to your outdoor space.”

However, adding “spark to your outdoor space” doesn’t come cheaply. BurnedbyDesign is charging $1,335.22 for the item, which it says takes between 10 and 12 months to arrive.

Would you pay that much to have a likeness of Eddie in your backyard?
