Iowa Football Fan Who Asked for Beer Money on TV Ends Up Giving Over $40,000 to a Children’s Hospital
Meet Carson King, an Iowa college student who just wanted to get on ESPN’s College GameDay. To say he ended up successful, is a MASSIVE understatement!
Carson held up a sign that said “Busch Light Supply Needs Replenished, Venmo Me”. ESPN saw the sign and immediately money started hitting his account.

And that’s where the story gets crazier and crazier. Carson has now received over $41,000 and has decided to donate all (minus a case of Busch Light) to an Iowa children’s hospital.
But there’s more. Now Busch Beer AND Venmo have agreed to match donations that Carson gives! YES!
.@CarsonKing2 this is the best thing we have read all year, we’re inspired.
We’re going to match your donation to University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, and we’ll throw in some of that Busch Light you were looking for. https://t.co/NPPrPp6zJg
