Grubhub Sued Over ‘Deceptive Business Practices’

The Washington D.C. Attorney General is suing Grubhub over its alleged deceptive business practices.

AG Karl Racine claims the food delivery service misleads customers by hiding extra service fees.

Other shady tactics include listing restaurants without their permission, advertising ‘free delivery’ that most customers aren’t eligible for, and even creating fake phone numbers and websites for restaurants to generate more orders.

A GrubHub spokesperson said their practices “have always complied with D.C. law” and that many of them had been discontinued.

How often do you use delivery apps like GrubHub or DoorDash?  Which ones are the most reliable?
