FDA Authorizes Booster for Children Aged 5-11

On Tuesday, the Food and Drug Administration authorized Pfizer-BioNTech booster shots for children ages 5 to 11.

Over 8 million children in that age group in the U.S. have received two shots of a Covid-19 vaccine.

Those children are now qualified to receive boosters five months after their second vaccine shots.

Only six percent of U.S. children in that age range have received just one vaccine.
