The Scorpions have revealed the passing of acclaimed producer Keith Olsen, who worked with the band for their 1990 album Crazy World. The band paid tribute to the producer on social media.

Olsen helped shape the sound of Fleetwood Mac, producing 1973’s Buckingham Nicks album which would lead to Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joining Fleetwood Mac. Olsen also produced the band’s self-titled album in 1975.

Olsen worked with countless big names including Heart, Ozzy, Whitesnake, Foreigner and Sammy Hagar. Rick Springfield paid tribute to his Jessie’s Girl producer on Twitter, saying “A gifted producer and wonderful guy. He could be a bit of a pistol in the studio but that was a part of his talent; sticking to his guns when some whiny artist would say ‘I don’t think that works.”

Do you know anyone who works in the music business? What is the best story they’ve ever shared?
