Elton John Forced to Cut Concert Short Due to Walking Pneumonia

Elton John was forced to cut his Saturday concert short in Auckland, New Zealand, revealing later he had been diagnosed with walking pneumonia earlier that day.

John performed for around an hour and a half but as the show went on, John’s vocals became weak. Auckland fans didn’t seem angry over John exiting early; fans gave him a standing ovation as he walked off stage, visibly upset.

John apologized and revealed his walking pneumonia diagnosis, adding “I was determined to give you the best show humanly possible. I gave it all I had.”
