Eddie Vedder’s Tribute To Taylor Hawkins

Pearl Jam paid tribute to late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins as they kicked off their Gigaton tour this week.

Before performing “Quick Escape,” at San Diego’s Viejas Arena on Tuesday night, frontman Eddie Vedder talked about Hawkins.

“He emitted something very incredible and very special. We’re all missing him.”

Hawkins died in March in Bogota, Colombia, where Foo Fighters had been touring.

Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron and Hawkins formed the band Nighttime Boogie Association in 2020 after they took part in a tribute concert for the late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell the year before.

Name a concert you saw that you’d love to travel back in time and see again.
