Blue Oyster Cult guitarist Buck Dharma wants to clear something up regarding the band’s signature hit “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper”.
Dharma, who wrote the song, says it’s “not about suicide” – though he understands why people might get that idea.
He says it’s “a love story that transcends the death of one of the partners, and then they get back together again in another plane… Dying is a part of life, so don’t fear it“.
