Dog Restaurant Week is Officially a Thing in Louisville July 21-26

We do Louisville restaurant week, we do burger week, so why not do a dog friendly restaurant week too that helps charities!

Dog Restaurant Week is happening in Louisville July 21st through the 26th at select Louisville eateries.

Sponsored by Tito’s Vodka for Dog People, the celebration of food and dogs includes three local restaurants with pup-friendly patios: Garage Bar, Saints Pizza and Pub, and Difabio’s. Each one will have a special menu of healthful dog treats they can enjoy while you have a cocktail or a meal.

We live by the “Take Your Dog to Work Every Day” dogma. Does this sound PAWesome? We think it does… so much so that we joined forces with @dogs.in.the.workplace to share resources and tips for creating a dog-friendly office. Check out our tips below, and then visit @dogs.in.the.workplace to dig a little deeper into policies and best practices. #VodkaForDogPeople ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🐾 Come prepared: If you plan on welcoming dogs at the office, plan ahead and keep their needs in mind, so they can be comfortable and content while the humans are working. Bring treats, toys, a dog bed, and maybe some cleaning supplies in case of an accident. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🐾Set boundaries: Make sure there are office guidelines and policies in place that address roaming, leashes, number of dogs allowed per person, behavior procedures if there’s an issue, etc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🐾Respect your co-workers: If someone has a stash of delicious desk snacks or particularly smelly shoes, keep your pup away! Stay alert and respect your co-workers’ personal space. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🐾Stop and sniff the roses: Step outside to give those puppies some air and a chance to play (and use the bathroom)! Taking a break every so often to keep your dog happy has been proven to reduce employee stress levels.
