Brian May Called Eric Clapton A ‘Fruitcake’ Over Anti-Vax Views

Brian May is lashing out at Eric Clapton over the guitarist’s anti-vax leanings.
In a recent interview with The Independent, the Queen guitarist said “anti-vax people, I’m sorry, I think they’re fruitcakes”. (For those not up to date on their British slang, “fruitcake” is a way to call someone crazy or eccentric).
May insists “I love Eric Clapton, he’s my hero, but he has very different views from me in many ways.”
Clapton made headlines earlier this summer for refusing to play concerts at venues that require proof of vaccination.
