Bob Dylan is adding to his ‘Heaven’s Door’ whiskey brand. The launch of the new ‘Decades Series’ was announced yesterday.
The limited-release collection of whiskey aged for at least ten years will kick off with a bourbon.
It is 22 percent rye and while the whiskey was produced in Tennessee, it has not undergone the Lincoln County process, in which it is filtered through charcoal before barreling, so it does not qualify as an actual Tennessee whiskey.
It’s non-chill filtered and bottled at 100 proof.
Future Decades Series releases are TBD, but the brand says a wheated bourbon and a rye whiskey are likely.
